Moorlands Y5/6 Development Team versus Park Lane

What a cracking game! Our Moorlands Development Team put in a sensational performance against our federation rivals, Park Lane, battling to a hard-earned 1–1 draw. This marks the very first time this year that a team has remained unbeaten against this opposition!

It was a brilliant all-around squad performance filled with sharp play and fantastic determination:

Oakley was outstanding between the posts, making a series of vital saves to keep us right in the match.
Josh provided a rock-solid foundation in defense, partnering brilliantly with Enzo, who ensured Park Lane rarely found a way through.
In midfield, Brandon was a powerhouse, breaking up attacks, winning back crucial possession, and controlling the centre of the pitch.
Albie impressed on the ball throughout, driving the team forward with excellent delivery from set pieces.
Roshil showed tremendous work rate, getting stuck into tackles and launching several promising runs down the field.
Ned linked play smoothly with some clever, crucial touches.
Tyrus dominated possession, delighting the crowd with some electric dribbling.
Santino dazzled the opposition with his silky skills and footwork.
Caius pulled off a masterclass in opportunistic forward play, executing his goalhanging tactic to perfection and finishing off a brilliant move to level the score.
Huzaifa came agonizingly close to snatching a late victory with a powerful effort near the final whistle.

Beyond the many chances on goal, what stood out most was the team's incredible attitude. From the first whistle to the last, the players supported and congratulated each other—and showed great sportsmanship by sharing high-fives with the opposition at full-time.

A thoroughly enjoyable, high-tempo match. Massive congratulations to the whole squad for a top-tier team effort! Special thanks to our cheerleaders: Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Brandon!! Lucky mascots!!!
