Day Two Part Two:

Bows and arrows, Board Games & Bonfires: Another Day Well Played!

Our afternoon saw everyone back outdoors for another round of adrenaline-fuelled fun. Mr Eynon and Mrs Hutley’s groups took on the climbing wall with impressive determination, while Mrs Whitby’s group channelled their inner Robin Hood during archery practice. Meanwhile, Mrs Ferguson’s crew enjoyed some well-earned chill time with board games—and a spirited wrestling match with the Christmas tree as they attempted to rescue several rogue ping-pong balls. 😉

Dinner was a hearty helping of spaghetti bolognese (meat or lentil) followed by fruit crumble—fuel much appreciated by all!

Thankfully, the 5pm rain shower made only a brief appearance before politely excusing itself. This meant half the year could head to the bonfire for a sing-along and marshmallow toasting, while the other half enjoyed some downtime watching the football, battling it out in a game of ‘killer’ on the pool table, playing Guess Who and chess, or choreographing what may become the next big dance craze—mysteriously involving airborne slippers being kicked and caught mid-routine.

We are all thoroughly shattered after such a packed day, and the children are beginning to truly value the magic of a good night’s sleep. Another fabulous day in the New Forest—and we’re already looking forward to pancakes in the morning! 🥞✨
